"Mommy, it's always funner with fun people"

As I prepared a bedtime bath for my 6 year old daughter, she was so sad that our Labor Day fun was coming to an end. She had a few tears as she said goodbye to the girls she grown so much to love as her sisters...and after all, they've all pretty much been there since her grand-airborne entrance into this world. She looked at me through tears and said, "Mommy, I don't want the girls to leave. It's been a very fun day." I agreed… it had been. She held on to my shoulders as I began to undress her for the bath and said, "Mommy, it's always funner with fun people". I smiled and agreed...
These beautiful girls who chose to drive (some several miles) and spend the day with us, have no idea how much I really do love them. It is so difficult to describe. I didn't give birth to them, I tease...but they've been a pain in the butt enough for me at times that I can call them mine! :) I couldn't be more proud of them and of my three birth babies. They all have mamas, although some are no longer with us and dance with Jesus. I say they are mine, yet I know they are His...they too will dance with Jesus someday….all of us together. :) God knit them together; they are His and have always been. Psalm 139

It's interesting. I'm not a writer...I do have the gift of gab. I kind of like this blog thing...even if my father, Heavenly Father...is the only one who reads it. :)

I leave you with this question:  Who are you reaching out to beyond your family?  Isaiah 54:2 says

"Enlarge the place of your tent, stretch your tent curtains wide, do not hold back; lengthen your cords, strengthen your stakes.  I dare you to stretch!

God's grateful girl.
